Citizens of Coahoma County:

I sincerely thank you for electing me as your Sheriff for Coahoma County.  I am both elated and honored to serve you.  As the Highest Law enforcement Official of the County, I will serve this County to the best of my ability by utilizing my years of training and experience to promote high expectations and a clear mission for the sheriff's office. Valor, compassion, teamwork, trustworthiness, justice and service are fundamental values that are the cornerstones that encapsulate the essence of responsible law enforcement. By promoting these values on a consistent basis, we will ensure a standard of quality service and obtain results of the highest caliber.

It is with much confidence that I bring with me, a new administration. Chief Deputies Neal Mitchell and Marena Jones bring a wealth of experience and competence. These are not just behind-the-scenes people. Chiefs Mitchell and Jones have been on the front lines of policing where they've been accountable to the public at the highest levels professionalism.

Understanding that we have much work to do and many things to accomplish, we have hit the proverbial ground running. In the coming months, we will be making many changes. Some changes will be publicly seen, and some will be internal. But rest assured we are working diligently and earnestly for the betterment of Coahoma County. 

I thank the County Board of Supervisors and other members of the county government for the support they have shown this agency. I am optimistic that they will utilize the county budget funds requested by the sheriff's office that will promote our values and yield results that will enhance the safety and security of the taxpayers while keeping deputies on the streets, modernizing administrative functions and minimizing costs. I will work with other local, state and federal entities to lead the Coahoma County Sheriff's Office into a more modern agency. As a result, we will meet the county's needs and reach our goal of exemplary law enforcement and correctional services for Coahoma County.
